It has to work, not just look decorative. A visitor should find three things within seconds: what you do, where you are and how to reach you. If those are missing from the first half of the screen, people hit the back button. So the top of the page carries your business name, a one-line description and a call button; services, photos and location follow underneath. Text is large enough to read without zooming and buttons are wide enough to tap comfortably. Colours and typeface follow the same rule: easy on the eye, suited to your business and consistent on every screen. A corporate site needs nothing more than that — it is the order on the page, not the effects, that reads as serious.

Because your name only carries weight where it belongs to you. A social media account can be closed, the rules change, and your post may reach nobody. Your own site does not disappear; it becomes the fixed address that shows up on Google, gets saved to a customer's phone and goes on your invoices and signage.
